Greenfields has teamed up with software development specialists The Distance and Condense Reality to pioneer new developments in volumetric video and sports gaming.
Volumetric video is a recent development that fuses live sports content with the 3D control and interactivity experienced in gaming platforms. New technological breakthroughs from the likes of Intel’s TrueView have paved the way on the big stage for immersive 3D views of sporting occasions.
However, there remains a huge gap between what the average sports fan can expect to experience on their mobile phones and the vast infrastructure and computing power needed to generate 3D volumetric imagery. This represents a huge opportunity to develop new mobile applications which can bridge that gap.
